NI is a US based company, founded in the 1970s, which produces automated test equipment, and virtual instrumentation software. The group present in Trustech is the NFC and Wireless Charging division, which emanates from the acquisition of Micropross by NI in 2015

At Trustech 2021, we will present our latest innovations in terms of automated NFC validation, conformance and production tests.

2) In your opinion, what are the current trends that are providing opportunities for your company?

NFC is a fairly well understood and standardized communication interface. However, opportunities lie in the usage which are made of this interface. We see innovative use cases of NFC bloom every day, such as the possibility to use NFC as an access key to a car, or to charge the battery of small portable devices.

Besides, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the growth of the NFC market owing to the rise of contactless solutions. For the general audience, the awareness of contactless payment has increased considerably.

3) Why did you choose to participate at TRUSTECH 2021? Will you be presenting innovative/new products or solutions during this event?

Participating to Trustech is a no brainer for us, really, as we have had a presence there for the last 25 years if we include our participations to the Cartes show. This is a great occasion to meet our partners and customers from all around the world and exchange ideas and views on the NFC market.

This year, we will introduce to the world our new NFC Validation and conformance test platform the CTS III, which allows to perform EMVCo and NFC Forum conformance tests with a reduction of test times of up to 80% compared to our previous generation of test equipment.

4) How is TRUSTECH 2021 important for growing your business?

As we are meeting our customers and partners throughout the year, we consider the Trustech show more as an opportunity to meet new faces, new adopters of the technologies that we cover, so that we can explore with them in a neutral environment possibilities for us to collaborate. In this essence, we indeed consider Trustech as a vector of growth.

5) Where do you intend to grow your business in the future (countries or verticals)?

Without sharing too much of our plan of record for growth, we can say that we still see Asia as as land of opportunities for our test equipment, as demand from their mobile phone industry and associated supply chain is at an all-time high.

In terms of verticals, we believe the adoption of NFC an an interface to enable keyless entry applications in the industry of automotive will boost the usage of NFC even more, and trigger needs for additional NFC test capacity.
