1) Could you please introduce yourself and describe your company as well as the products/solutions that you will be presenting during TRUSTECH 2022?

I am Nicolas Mivielle, a Mathematical Engineer with major in Cryptography and Information Security, graduate from ISFA Lyon. I have dedicated my career of nearly 20 years to the secure documents Industry, in Project Management, Business Development and Sales Management positions, working out of EU, LATAM and Switzerland. I joined IN Groupe in August 2018 and I am now heading the Payment Sales Team, a 10 people team with a global footprint.

IN Groupe has driven the creation of the Secure Components Business Unit, in order to provide governments, central banks and businesses all around the world with the highest security expertise. SPS and SURYS are the two brands of IN Groupe within this Business Unit, which manufacture and sell secure electronic, optical and digital components for payment cards, identity documents, vehicle traceability and banknotes. Our SPS brand is uniquely positioned in the secure documents value chain thanks to a special relationship of trust we have built up year after year with this ecosystem. Our team of world class technical experts and our Sales force span the globe, allowing us to interact with most stakeholders – from semi-conductor providers, card issuers, schemes, industrial partners – in order to deliver state-of-the-art electronic platforms for Dual and Contactless technologies to the global and local secure document manufacturers. By 2023, we will issue around half a billion electronic platforms, used daily by citizens on all five continents for contactless payments. For Trustech 2022, we plan to showcase our full portfolio of products and solutions for Identity and Payment, which includes our Green SLAM® Product series and also innovative solutions such as the dynamic CVV to protect the integrity of your data not only at a Point of Sale, but also when citizens perform online payments. 

2) In your opinion, what are the current trends that are providing opportunities for your company?

Several trends are changing the payment experience today. The number one trend providing business opportunities for SPS is the growing adoption of contactless as the preferred method of payment. The rise of card-non-present (CNP) transactions for online purchase is also a trend which generates the need to secure those transactions and for which the SPS brand of IN Groupe intends to play a major role by relying on its great innovation and manufacturing capacity. The growing Fintech phenomenon and their need to distinguish from the major banks generates opportunities for SPS. That’s why, we have developed many features to make your payment card unique – in particular ways of physical customization for plastic and metal cards. Last, but not least, SPS has been working over the last couple of years on offering products with a lower carbon footprint and using as much recycled material as possible to limit our impact on the environment.

3) Why did you choose to participate at TRUSTECH 2022? Will you be presenting innovative/new products or solutions during TRUSTECH 2022?

We attend Trustech every year. It is an historical event for our company that enables us to showcase our most recent innovations, meet with key actors in the industry, and connect with our clients and partners, while addressing the market with our latest insights on its evolution. Trustech is a natural choice of salons for us; as this event provides us with the opportunity of not only broadening our customer base, but also allows us to meet up with our technological partners, and our main providers. As we did in the past, we will present new Green products as well as our latest innovations to secure the online transactions thanks to our SPS All-In-One product.

4) How is TRUSTECH 2022 important for growing your business?

The entire ecosystem attends Trustech and historically we have always had a presence at what we consider to be a top event. Trustech gives us the opportunity to be in contact with important players, partners & clients in the payments and identity ecosystems. What better location than in the capital as Trustech brings together many international players in our industry, which are important for a growing market.

5) Where do you intend to grow your business in the future (countries or verticals)?

We are still working on a growing market and we target growth on all continents. America’s has been our focus in the past years and remains our number 1 market; we are now working hard to bring the other regions to that level. We also wish to accompany the development of unique and complex solutions for metal cards, dynamic cvv, biometry features for all markets with our state-of-the-art technological offers, in the first place in Europe and in the US. We are uniquely positioned and trusted in the market with our portfolio of secure components that are suitable for local integrators, governments and printers and conducive to achieving our goals.
